Rwanda is commonly referred a the Land of a Thousand Hills. The country us highly elevated and beautifully designed with several hills especially in the western side of the country and is located in the Great Rift Valley of Central Africa where the African Greatlakes and Southeast Africa meet. It is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

There are four (4) national parks in Rwanda including 3 tropical forest-dominated ones such as Nyungwe Forest National Park, Volcanoes National Park and Gishwati-Mukura National Park; the savanna-dominated park is Akagera National Park, the only place to see the Big Five in Rwanda.
